Ferry and Vania is such a fun couple. They are basically an easy going and creative couple. They don’t mind trying your crazy poses for this engagement shoot, and even suggesting some themselves.
They want to have their engagement shoot taken before they fly back for good to their home country, Indonesia, and they want relaxed images in romantic settings and country-side look.
They have this bucket list for their engagement shoot: romantic old buildings, waterside, lush greeneries, and railway (abandoned of course, as we might get a hefty amount of fine otherwise!). Which we’ve fulfilled all! *big smile*
So off we went to Montsalvat, a romantic castle located just at the side of Melbourne, in the suburb of Eltham. Montsalvat is actually used to be an artists’ residential founded in 1934 by Justus Jörgensen. It has a dozen of romantic buildings which is an ideal for this shoot.
After few hours in the sun, we went to Warrandyte state park, and to be exact, Mount Lofty. Mount Lofty has this characteristic of rolling hills, with views overlooking lakes and the river. It was perfect for a typical Australian hilly countryside scene. It is also home to some kangaroos that we met at the end of our shoot 🙂
To fulfil their bucket list, we also went to shoot in an abandoned railway in Footscray and Docklands. It is interesting to realise so many well-maintained photo spots in this area, and we ended up getting some pictures around the location.
Well Ferry and Vania, thank you for letting us capture your love in Melbourne (and untiringly hopping in between the kangaroo poops in Mt Lofty!). We hope you enjoy these pictures and may this cherish and remind you of Melbourne 🙂
Much love,
Lovebirds Studio
